Ly T. Nguyen, M.D.
Ly T. Nguyen M.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biomedical Ethics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She received a medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. Dr. Nguyen did her internship year in general surgery at the University of Hawaii. She completed her general ophthalmology training at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado.
Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Nguyen is affiliated with the Celebration Surgery Center, the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center and the Kissimmee Surgery Center. She also has a faculty position at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Lake Nona.
Dr. Nguyen has been an active researcher, author of numerous journal articles and presenter at medical meetings and conferences. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Resident Research Award for excellent research presentation at the University of Colorado, the Hawaii Medical Association Alliance Endowment Award for community service and academic achievement and the JABSOM Pacific/Asian Scholarship for academic achievement and commitment to serving the Pacific/Asian region.
Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, Osceola Council on Aging, The Association of Women Surgeons, and St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce. She has also served as Treasurer of the Vietnamese Association of Physicians, Dentists, and Pharmacists of Florida. In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys reading, traveling, snowboarding, golf and playing tennis.
Anamaria Santiago, O.D.
Dr. Anamaria Santiago received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Science from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. She then earned a Doctorate of Optometry in 1996 from the IAUPR-School of Optometry. She enjoys working with patients of all ages to promote ocular health and well being to her patients.
Dr. Santiago graduated Valedictorian in her class from the IAUPR where she also served as a clinical faculty member until 2004 and received training in the care and treatment of glaucoma. Further, she proudly provided care to veteran patients in an outpatient clinic. In addition, she practiced in a private optometric practice in Puerto Rico which was focused on specialty contact lenses. Dr. Santiago is now residing in Central Florida, where she has been practicing in the Kissimmee, FL area for 10 years.
