Eye Florida is still offering telehealth options in many other areas, the tests and technologies necessary for precision ophthalmology care simply don't translate via video conferences or telephone conversations.

Using telehealth is easy and we have instructions and staff ready to help you along the way.  If you have concerns about privacy, let us reassure you that we are using a HIPAA compliant, encrypted video solution.

Insurance including Medicare will cover this the same as an in-office visit. If you would have a copay for an office visit, you will have the same for telehealth.

To prevent or potentially reverse vision damage, it's important we see you in our offices, which are safer than ever.

Your ophthalmologist may not be able to predict how quickly your eye condition will progress. However, routine examinations can guide us to help slow it down and preserve or improve your vision.

To meet with your provider on Doxy.me, first you need to use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browser.  A webcam and microphone are also required.

Your provider should have given you their personalized room link. It should look like doxy.me/YourDrsName.

To “check-in”:

  1. Type your provider's room address into your web address bar (e.g. https://doxy.me/room-name)

2. Enter your name, click "Check-In"

3. You are now in your provider's waiting room.  Wait for your provider to start the call
